TransLink School Routes
Lonestar Coachlines is trusted to provide Queensland Government TransLink school bus services for Tamborine Mountain and Beechmont. These services connect students to St Bernards State School, Tamborine Mountain State School, Tamborine Mountain State High School, Tamborine Mountain College, Beechmont State School, and Nerang State High School.
All students registered for bus travel will be issued a TransportMe Smartcard, which is used across our school bus network. This system has been proven to streamline the travel experience for students, parents, and operators.
It is compulsory for all students, including those receiving STAS funding, to register and use the TransportMe Smartcard system with automatic top-up enabled. The online payment portal allows parents and guardians to manage their child’s account and ensures there are always sufficient funds available for travel. By removing the need for cash in school bags and on buses, TransportMe enhances safety for students and provides a more secure and efficient process for our school bus drivers.
If your child is eligible for STAS funding, the STAS Bus Application Forms must be completed and returned prior to your child/children accessing the service. This ensures the correct fare is applied and that we have accurate emergency contact details should we need to reach you.
If you wish for your child to travel on a service, please contact Lonestar via stas@goldcoastcoachlines.com or (07) 5545 1298 between 07:30 am - 09:00 am and 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, to discuss your child’s eligibility and appropriate route. You must make contact before your child begins travelling on the service.
